Kamui Finance has launched three institutional RWA vaults onchain, each integrated with a different tokenized asset issuer: DigiFT, Hastra Prime, and Midas. The vaults offer professional and sophisticated investors tiered exposure to tokenized real-world assets including sovereign and corporate instruments. The infrastructure includes operational custody and compliance layers designed for institutional use, distinguishing it from earlier retail-facing RWA products.
For Armada's crypto repo desk, the proliferation of credible onchain RWA vaults expands the practical collateral universe beyond BTC, ETH, and SOL. Tokenized T-Bills from issuers like Midas or DigiFT are already on Armada's radar as eligible collateral. Kamui's vault structure introduces aggregation and diversification across issuers, which could be attractive to family office or hedge fund counterparties seeking yield on idle collateral. Fireblocks custody compatibility and legal enforceability of vault interests need verification before any such collateral is accepted.
