Banks Accelerate Tokenized Deposit Adoption Individually and Via Consortia

Major banks are moving beyond pilot stages to live deployment of tokenized deposits, both through proprietary platforms and multi-bank consortia. The momentum represents a credible institutional alternative to stablecoins for on-chain settlement and collateral transfer, attracting interest from asset managers and corporate treasurers who previously had no regulated on-chain dollar instrument.

For Armada's crypto desk, tokenized deposits introduce a new category of potential collateral and settlement medium alongside the tokenized T-Bills already in use. If counterparties begin posting tokenized bank deposits as collateral, Armada will need to evaluate credit risk, legal enforceability, and custody compatibility with Fireblocks.
