Securitize obtains SEC investment adviser license, expanding tokenized-asset credentialing

CoinDesk · Jul 27, 2026 9:00 AM EDT

Securitize, a leading digital-asset securities platform, has secured an SEC investment adviser registration, adding formal Wall Street credentialing to its existing transfer-agent and broker-dealer licenses. The move positions Securitize to manage tokenized fund structures and advisory mandates, accelerating institutional adoption of on-chain securities across asset managers and family offices.

Armada's crypto-repo desk explicitly includes tokenized T-Bills in its accepted collateral set. Securitize is among the primary issuance platforms for such instruments. Its expanded regulatory standing reduces counterparty and structural risk for Armada clients posting Securitize-issued tokenized T-Bills, and may support a case for improved LTV treatment relative to unregistered tokenized equivalents.

Suggested action Evaluate whether Securitize-issued tokenized T-Bills now meet Armada's eligible-collateral criteria given enhanced SEC oversight.
